What the guide uses

• Michael cast aluminum table legs, 16" for the coffee table in the guide. Same leg family runs up to bar height if you're building something taller.
• SlabTech slab flattening jig for flattening the glued-up top, or a live edge slab if you'd rather skip the glue-up.
• Steel C channel if your boards are wide or the table will live near a wood stove.

A few things people ask before they start: the top can be anything from 1" to 3" thick with these legs, the length is up to you, and keep the width at 27" or under for the 16" legs. Everything else is in the guide.
