The Porter is a heavy-duty steel pedestal base built for custom bar and counter stools. Designed to pair with a wood seat of your choice, it gives you the structural foundation for a commercial-grade stool without the compromises of mass-produced furniture.
Built from welded square tube steel with a black powder coat finish, the Porter is overbuilt by design — with a weight capacity of 750 lbs, it's at home in a restaurant, coffee shop, home bar, or anywhere that sees real use.
Available in two heights:
- 24-1/4" — Counter height (ideal seat height ~25–26" with swivel)
- 28-1/4" — Bar height (ideal seat height ~29–30" with swivel)
The 7"x7" top plate accepts a standard swivel mount — add our 711-F Swivel from the options below for a complete rotating base, or skip it if you're mounting a fixed seat. The 6"x6" floor plate includes pre-drilled holes for permanent floor mounting when needed. Each base includes a fixed-height footrest sized proportionally to its column height.
